Disaster, Climate change and Natural resource Management

Caritas Marsabit in partnership with various communities, implemented Emergency response projects funded by various partners including; Caritas Germany, CAFOD, Misereor, USAID,  to save lives and improve livelihoods of different communities in Marsabit County.

WASH

WASH program responds to the water needs in the county by use of various interventions. Water, Sanitation and Hygiene projects focus on the identification of the needs of the people in terms of access to water, sanitation amenities and hygienic conditions and help the communities to access safe drinking and other domestic water use in the four sub-counties.

The program has the mandate of implementing WASH interventions that aim to increase access to safe water and reduce spread of water born diseases among the most vulnerable communities in the county. 

Health and Nutrition

Health and Nutrition program is tasked broadly to deal with supplementing the government efforts to provide access to affordable health services.

The program has recently revamped it’s efforts to address the malnutrition menace in the county -specifically in the 2 sub-counties of Laisamis and North Horr where the rate of malnutrition is highest.

No! Caritas Marsabit has the mandate of delivering developmental interventions of the Diocese of Marsabit among the vulnerable communities of Marsabit county.
