Guyo Huka is a seasoned business leader with 28 years of diverse experience in
both the private and public sectors. Currently working as a Management Consultant
and Director at a foreign employment recruitment agency in Nairobi, Kenya. He
has a strong background in sectors such as oil & gas, banking &
financial services, labor & social protection, and development.
Experience and Accomplishments
In his
role as the Director General at Kenya Development Corporation, Huka led the
team through a successful merger of three Development Finance Institutions. He
played a pivotal role in developing and operationalizing the corporation's
first three-year Strategic Plan, approval of the Performance Contract, and
launching the brand on the market. Huka also drove significant achievements in
loan portfolio management, collections, and resource mobilization efforts.
His
experience extends to senior roles in leading corporate organizations,
including serving as Senior HR Business Partner at Barclays Bank of Kenya Ltd
and Director of HR & Administration at Dubai Islamic Bank Kenya Ltd. In the
oil & gas sector, Huka held various senior management roles, including
Country HR Manager for Kenya and Rwanda at Chevron Kenya Limited.
Huka's key
accomplishments include the successful deployment of global projects,
standardization of HR processes, and effective implementation of safety and
diversity action plans. He has extensive expertise in HR areas such as reward
and remuneration, employee relations, performance management, talent
development, leadership development, learning and training management, and
expatriate administration.

Huka holds a Doctor of Business Administration from the Catholic University of
Eastern Africa, an MBA in Human Resources Management from the University of
Nairobi, and various professional certifications. He is affiliated with
